Mary Snowden believes every child deserves the opportunity to succeed academically. With nearly 30 years of classroom experience, she understands the importance of strong reading, writing, and math foundations. Her vision is to strengthen classroom instruction, identify learning gaps early, and ensure students receive the support they need to reach their full potential.

Improving Student Attendance & Accountability

Every school day matters, and every child deserves the opportunity to learn. Mary supports stronger attendance initiatives that address the challenges keeping students out of the classroom. Her goal is to work with parents, educators, and communities to improve attendance, encourage responsibility, and keep students on track toward graduation.

Great schools start with supported teachers and strong leadership. Mary understands firsthand the challenges educators face because she spent nearly three decades serving in Savannah-Chatham County classrooms. She wants to advocate for the resources, support, and learning environments teachers need to help students thrive.
